Koelschtrinker (18341) - Kln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 29, 2011
11/8/9/8/10/9

TBone (16430) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 22, 2009
Bottled vintage 2008 (BB 09/2009). Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Dark muddy red brown color, small steady off-white head. Nose is earthy, sweet licorice and oak.Medium-bodied. Sour. Intensive wood, earth, some dark malts, some peat. Suprisingly this is very similar to regular De Molen Bloed, Zweet & Tranen I had earlier this year.

Trade with Fonefan. 2008 bottle. It is hazy, nice red-brown with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of peat, smoke, malt and caramel. The flavour has sweetness and notes of smoke, light peat, malt, caramel and nuts. I love a smoked beer, if the sweetness is low. This is good, but a tiny bit too sweet.

Small yellowish head, gone in seconds over fully hazy brown beer with a yellow & purple shine. Sweet nose, raisins, nuts, fusels. Old nuts, old bread, sweet flavours with very little bitterness whatever. Like oxydized, but not oxydized. In the same vein, I do not find any smoked/phenolic notes. Light to medium bodied, but very slick. A bit dull, not very impressive, liked the other Molen Bocks more.
