[ Courtesy of Molenbrouwer ]. Unclear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate yeasty, smoke - peat, alcohol notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
bottle, 2008 vintage, pours a beautiful amber with a tall frothy light tan head. Cinnamon, brown sugar, and raisins mixed with a peat note, very pleasant nose. Light bodied biscuit and toasted malt flavors that have a mild sweet and sour character that ends with a smoke flavor that is more on the mild side. A very drinkable bock with interesting flavors and a solid finish. TrefwoordPunk (1302) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - OCT 16, 2008
Bottle 33 cl, as Borefts turf bock2008. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a big yellowish head and a sourish aroma with notes of hops and malts. The taste is a bit sour too, with notes of caramel, smoke, sweetish roasted malts. A very nice spicy and bitter finish. Highly recommended. Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - OCT 24, 2008
A dark red/brown colored beer, with a thick beige head. The aroma of roasted/burned malts with some dark fruits, with notes of hop and malts. The taste is dry bitter, smoked malts, dark fruit and some caramel. The aftertaste is bitter smoked. gyllenbock (9852) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 30, 2013
Bottle at Monks Porter House.
Dark, slightly hazy reddish/brown with a small creamy head. Quite a lot of berries both in the aroma and taste. Also wood, grape and earth. Refreshing and easy to drink. I did not detect any smoke in this five years old bottle.
