Keg at Mother Kelly’s - London. Pours oily black with a dense, creamy khaki head. The nose is just immense sugary chocolate, dark fruits, roast, earth. Hugely sweet flavor with lots of gooey and oily chocolate, liquefied fruits, figs, dates, berries, mild smoke, scorched earth, strawberry. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, big and sticky, with burnt sugars, more chocolate, ripe dark fruits, berries, some bitter burnt wood, touches of caramel and Cahill. Tasty but it’s definitely a beast.

@borefts 2014 big sweet melasselike body with lots of wood. Very darks in taste, stingy alcohol

From tap at De Molen. Cognac nicely present, soft, smooth, well balanced. Probably one of the (if not the) best stouts from De Molen.

Keg at Borefts beer fest day 2 27/09/2014. Bodegraven. Viscous dark brown / caramel coloured pour with no head to speak of. Aroma is peaty smokey whiskey, rubbing alcohol, nutty praline. Flavour is composed of viscous, kamp coffee, praline, smooth roast, tangy berry. Palate is full viscous, rough round the edges.

Vestergaard (2089) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - JAN 15, 2015
Tap at Borefts Beer Festival 2014. Pours pitch black with a deadly, oily, big bubbled head. Aroma is very roasty with sweet cognac, molasses, caramel, alcohol, chocolate, some cofee and caramel. Taste is sweet up front with raisins, syrup, brown sugar, molasses. Turns more roasty bitter and ends of fairly dry actually. Overall pretty sweet though. Full, greasy body and low carbonation.
