330ml dark bottle, unfiltered. I can't remember where I got this from. I love this. On the whole, though there are some De Molen beers I don't enjoy, I love the brewery. Class act. Big and bold and very skilled. This is the genuine deal. These guys can brew. This is a yummy beer. Big hop beers are normally delivered on some piss poor malt, and that does it for me. But the malt base here is divine. Proper tasty chewy living beer. You can taste it is fresh and alive, And it's not been brewed to nothing - there's proper malt character here. So, that's the base, and then there's lots of hops on top. A proper melange, and buckets of it. Now, I am not a hop lover, but when hops are used in balance with a malt, and when the mix of hops melds together to produce something attractive rather than simply aggressive, then I'll listen. The hop meld here is very attractive. Seductive. It could almost make me yield and fall in love with hops. Oooh. This is a tantalising beer. Yes, I do like this. Definite caramel malt base with a big wave of Pacific Northwest hops riding strong. Pine is principal of the notes. bilcho1 (336) - Ruse, BULGARIA - MAR 31, 2018
On tap at a private tasting at Zarazbirachi, Ruse. Pours slightly cloudy with a thin frothy head that settled quickly, heavy lacing but no bead. A rich copper colour. On the nose, intense citrus, but with the promise of some sourness on the palate, as well as a rich caramel malt. In the mouth, massaging carbonation, intense citrus doing battle with strong caramel malt, some sweetness, backed up by a crisp refreshing bitter finish. Overall, a very unsubtle malty IPA, not at all ordinary and actually very good. lbianchi66 (486) - FRANCE - MAR 29, 2018
