Bottle at home. Bottle no 1004. Pours dark amber, no head. Caramel and alcohol in the aroma, leather, dark fruits, very nice. Oily, fat, portlike taste, very very nice. Not an average BW ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

What an incredibly awesome beer! It was dark when I poured and drank it, so I don’t have any idea of the looks of it.the aroma is stunning, whiskey, vanilla, barley wine. Taste likewise with hints of wood. Body is full and almost oily and the carbonation is very present for a beer of this style and alcohol percentage. topbeer!

Beer5000 (6625) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 13, 2012
On draft @ HaandBryggeriet Beer festival 2012. An amber body with a small off-white head. Strong aroma of dry fruit, caramel malt and warming alcohol. Flavor is sweet, really sweet malt, dry fruit particular raisins, vanilla and burning alcohol. Full body and looong aftertaste with the same flavor. Fantastic BIG beer, even being this sweet the alcohol and bitterness seems to create some kind of balance. The bitterness is almost not notable, but it just has to be there. Amazing and wonderful.

18cl bottle thanks to Colin. Hazy reddish color, almost no head. Smell malts, clearly bourbon BA. Taste malts, slightly caramel, lightly sweetish alcohol and again clearly liquor. Medium to full carbo, medium to full body.

Bottle consumed at t’Arendsnest. Pours reddish brown with no head at all and an incredible fruit and malt aroma. There is a fruit and vanilla flavor with a lingering alcohol finish.

Bottle. Sample courtesy of Vinnay. Pours like a nice, deep red with a soft, clean surface. Aroma of Dutch cheese, cherry cough syrup. Nice and dank yo. I don’t feel like finishing this. Thanks Vin.

PhillyCraft (7597) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Bottle with Pat and Allen. Poured a brown color with thin head and not much lacing. Aromas of cheese, wood, maple. Taste is booze, sugar, dark fruit, figs, cherries, wood, cognac. Boozy and warming as hell, but still layered and delicious. Some other vanilla bean in their as well. Sticky palate.

Bottle at the Kulminator
Pours a ruby color with a good head that leaves a nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is sweet and mapley with some toffee, bourbon, and booze. Very rich smelling!

The flavor is very sweet, very rich, some mild orange, lots of maple, vanilla and woody booziness. Very tasty.
