Draught @ Borefts 2011. Black color with a beige head. Sour cherries, chocolate, plum, caramel in the aroma. Dense, with medium carbonation. Sweet, fruity finish. Nice one. Holy (897) - GERMANY - OCT 23, 2011
Pour courtesy of the DeMolen crew at BBF 2011 - thanks! I really liked this one - dark color with strong cherry flavor. Great beer! Martinus (4703) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2011
Black beer. Pitch black. At the festival both the sun and the lights inside weren’t bright enough to shine through. Thick tan head. Aroma is malty, alcoholic, brett, some liquorice and a slight cherry tone. Flavour is somewhat sweet, cherry liquor, almond (cherry pips), light brett tartness. Low carbonation, finish quite dry with burned malts bitterness. Nice one.

Borefts 2011. Urine aroma, some sour fruity notes as well. Cloudy black colour. Small frothy brown head. The flavour is nicely sour, has a little paint thinner but not bad. Good fruity sourness. fonefan (51126) - VestJylland, DENMARK - OCT 3, 2011

Draught @ BBF’11:
Small brown head on top of a black beer.
Smell sour, roasted malts, yeast, fruit. Smell is really good.
Taste is a good mix of liquorice, berries, roasted malts, sweets/(brown) sugars, light sour. Light sticky, good balanced!
Nice yeasty sour liquorice bitter aftertaste. Like it.
Low carbo, full body, soft mouthfeel, light creamy/watery texture. Benzai (16690) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2011
Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival @ De Molen, Bodegraven. Color: pitch black, opaque. Medium sized off-white head. Smell is a stout mixed with sour. Taste sour, roastyness, cherries. Pretty special brew I guess, but not really my thing. Good carbo, medium body.
