Thanks to koelschtrinker for sharing! Pours deep cola brown with a fast subsiding head. Smell is roasted malt, sour dark fruit. The taste is dark fruit, acetic acid, some dark malt remains. Body is light/medium with nice carbonation. A nice sour porter.

Bottle 75, BBE 10/2017. Brown in color with no head. Sour notes, some faint cold coffee, light vinous even. Sour coffee kind of taste. Has a pretty nice sourish coffee aftertaste. Not that intensive but instead a more softer approach here.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013, 10/08/13. Murky mahogony brown with a thin light tan head. Nose is soured dark fruits, touch lactic, light roast, wild yeast notes. Taste comprises earthy notes, cocoa, soured dark fruits, tangy fruit notes, chocolate. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. Decent soured porter affair.

Bottle, 750 ml, at home. Poured into a snifter after a short battle with the stubborn cork. ABV 6.2% Appearance is a dark brown beer, with some ruby shades when hold against the light. A very thin line of beige foam forms the head on this beer, with low retention. Aroma is sour, wine vinegar, wood, peat, white unripe grapes. Taste is sour, highly acidic. Again notes of wood and peat, white grapes. Very dry on the palate and a tart at the same time. Low carbonation but nice medium thick body. Very weird beer, I thought it would be closer to a porter than to a sour ale but that’s not the case. A big bottle is a bit too much for me.

Brown, not sure how, caus it’s dark and i’m kinda drunk. Good combo between sour ale and a porter!
