Small quick disappearing off white head on top of a deep dark murky brown colored beer.
Smell yeast, light yoghurt, light wood, liquorice root,
Taste is a nice mix of dust, dried fruits, yeast, wood, toasted malts, light liquorice.

Corked bottle. Dark brown color. leather and roast in the aroma. Some grassy hops. Sour, leathery flavor with roast and ash. Well hopped with citrus and grass. The brett has done its work. Sampled from tap @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011: Pours a murky dark brown near black body with a small islandy tanned head. Lovely roasted aroma with lots of dark chocolate, smoke, citrus and some hops. Thick and chewy texture, softly carbonated and really full-bodied. Flavors are ashy as hell, with lots of roasted chocolate, coffee, espresso, vanilla, dark fruits, some acidic and sour yeasty notes that I really like and it ends with more chocolate before it’s leaving a nice acidic, ashy and mild bitter aftertaste. Really really good and complex flavors on this little thing.

Bottle; 75cl; courtesy of madmitch76. Appearance is opaque and the head has diminished. The aroma is brett; oak; tar; motor oil; panetone; fresh bread and toffee. Taste is chocolate; toffee; bubblegum; brett; licorish; leather; tart and tar. Blackcurrant is prominent. Quite sweet but very drinkable and not overtly dry. The brett works very well and it is not infected. It is quite sharp and acidic on the finish. An interesting and complicated porter. Great for the style. Top work Menno.
