Clear deep amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, slightly dry. Fine carbonation. Light malt cream, little sweetness. Touch of sweet candy fruits. Fairly strong grey smoke, not too acrid. Finishes smooth and semi dry with a bitter linger. Interesting!

Torfmalziger Antrunk mit deutlichem Whiskeyaroma. Vollmundig, trocken, dennoch süffig. Komplexe Rauchnoten mit mittelstarker Bitterkeit, holzig, zwischenzeitlich hell malzig. Vanille-holziges Ende, weiterhin torfig, nun etwas stärker bitter. Minimale Säure zum Ende, spritzig. Wirklich gut! 10/11/12/12/12/12

Corked bottle from De Molen beershop, Bodegraven, bottled 2 July 2012Theydon_Bois (20460) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 4, 2014
Muddy dull amber color with generous frothy head. The aroma is a bit feety, there is some malt, wood boards, but also a light freshness. Too much carbonation; good body, moderate sweetness for malt and caramel flavor, with a hint of toffee, delicate smoke, a bit too much yeast, correct bitterness with some spices.
Not bad, but dirty.
Bottle shared at Chriso’s post GBBF minidig, 16/08/14.
Clear golden amber with a well appointed beige covering that retains.
Nose is smoked malt, TCP, medicinal hit, light spice, dark fruit notes.
Taste comprises caramel, less smoke than on the nose but smoked malt well evident, hoppy backnotes.
Medium + bodied, spritzy carbonation - overcooked, too much, lightly warming booze at the last hurrah that is kept well in check for almost 10%.
Ok smoked affair.
