Bitterness and honey all over the place. A little disappointed, because this one had been waiting for me in my cellar for some time...

0,33 l flaske Dubbelbock fra De Bierkoning. Dyp nøttebrun kropp med fingertykt lysebrunt skum. Lukter salt tørket frukt og fudge. Søt og alkovarm med god bitterhet. God fylde. TorbenJensen (1572) - Valby, DENMARK - JUL 18, 2015
The dense foam covers just over aromas, but a little hard roasted malt releases up from my glass. It is a doppelbock which leaves fine lace in the glass, and the taste is a delight for any bock-lover. Dark caramel with slightly burnt character, heavy ripe fruit followed by a transition to a light taste of turf where alcohol also come around. Not a decidedly unpleasant manner, but rather an alcohol taste that gives it a little sharpness and edge and memories that we are at the high scale in terms of strength. Hop bitterness is quite as it should be in bocks, namely supporting the malt and the other flavors without breaking the sweetness a bock to have. The bitterness is moderate and leaves a dry aftertaste. Stuu666 (14806) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 20, 2015

Bottle 330 ml at home, as Dubbelbock, poured into a snifter.
Deep red to brown colour on the body, very clear, with a big beige head, froathy but with very good retention, leaving lots of lacing around.
Aroma of caramel, nuts, dark fruits, plums.
Taste is malty with nuts, caramel, more dark fruits, floral notes too, light alcohol.
Medium body, highly carbonated.
A good one. Deu (949) - Nantes, FRANCE - JAN 12, 2014
