From bottle. Pours chestnut amber with little white head. Nice fruity hop aroma. Mango, grapefruit and orange hop taste with caramel malt backbone. Sweet with a bitter finish. A little undercarbonated and thin. Tastes nice.

33cl bottle. Pours chestnut brown with a red hue and a velvety sheen. The nose has grapefruit pith, with some earthiness and that’s it. The taste is really bitter pith and again, that’s all. The palate is medium in body with a creamy texture and a zingy finish. Overall, a nice body but just too bitter.

Countbeer (6589) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 22, 2012
Bottle: Medium and quick disappearing off white creme yellow ish head/bubbly lacing on top of a hazy dark orange amber colored beer. Smell hops, citrus, melon, peach, biscuit, exotic fruit, hint of malts and a slight hint of lactose. Taste is somewhat smoother than your regular ipa. Taste some fuity hops, medium to fuller bitter, grass, some fresh barleys, exotic bitter fruit, grapefruit, pine apple and dry fresh berries. The bitterness keeps growing and seems to gently conquer everything else with a long bitter dry hoppy grassy aftertaste. Low carbo, soft light watery mouthfeel, good medium body and a light creamy/light watery texture. Good winter ipa.

IluvatarMilan (282) - Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2012
Bottle. Pours a very nice cooper red body, mostly opaque, medium dense head. Intense dark hoppy aroma, spices. Taste explains the winter label- a rich but not overwhelming tinge of smoke adds to an otherwise medium-bodied, soft ipa. Nice malt bitterness in aftertaste.

3.5
esox (1226) - Oulu, FINLAND - FEB 22, 2012
Draught @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven. Hazy amber beer with has huge, pillowy head. Great hoppy nose, loads of sweet fruit nectars and some resins. Flavor is surprisingly thin: it would clearly benefit from an extra dose of malts lacks some maltiness. Dryish and slightly bready malt flavor is still quite nice. Decent bitterness but it could be more aggressive. Very smooth and velvety texture, a bit thin.

laiti (8536) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 21, 2012
33 cl bottle (6,2%) @ home, bottled 22.12.2011
Aroma has fruity and sweetish hops with some gooseberry bush. Flavour is a big disappointment after the aroma. It is somewhat hoppy with vegetables and gooseberry bush. Some metal-like element in the finish. Flat stuff.

3.2
lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 21, 2012
330 ml bottle. BBE 22.12.2011.
Pours a cloudy copper colour with a surprisingly calm head for a De Molen. Aroma of sweet exotic fruits, pine needles and some honey-like sweetness. Flavour of some bitter hops, exotic fruits, caramel and low on malt. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a bitter, slightly fruity finish. Quite far from your average IPA as this has very low maltiness but high on bitterness.

3.3
olio (10750) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 21, 2012
33 cl bottle. Bottled on 22.12.2011.
Pours clear red color with medium head. Aroma of hoppy fruits, mild berry notes, rose hip and malts. Flavor of malts, fruits, mild grass, spice notes and some goose berries. The palate is surprisingly bland and mildly bitter.
