Sampled at Copenhagen Beerfestival 2010. Black with a brown head. Light smoky aroma of grilled hot dogs and ash. Some fruitiness as well. Interesting, different and good. Christian (13921) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 24, 2010

Clear dark black color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, coffee, vanilla notes. Flavor is light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, cacao dusty, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
About 50ml from tap. Nice fawn-coloured head atop of a devil-black body. Semi-sweet aroma of roasted, dark chocolate malts and dark fruits sustained by a touch of alcohol. Earthy malts and anise in a rich flavour which also offers dried fruits, slightly roasted. Lasting finish of bittersweet chocolate and an integrated alcoholic tingle. Tasty sample and I’m really looking forward to a whole bottle of this wonderful brew (Copenhagen Beer Festival, 08.05.2010).

Draught. Deep dark brown close to black colour with a nice beige ehad. Roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits, some smoke in aroma. Good filling mouthfeel. The flavour is very pleasant with roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and some wood, pleasant hoppiness. Well present but soft bitterness. Nice! UPDATED: NOV 12, 2010 Had this one @ CBF 2010. Black colored brew. Wonderful brew! All kinds of smooth flavors balanced together in perfect harmony in both aroma and flavor. Very smooth malty tones, coffee, dark chocolate, vanille, some wood. All blended perfectly. KnutAlbert (6798) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 20, 2010
On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival.
Coffee, cream, smooth and easy drinking.
Some soot, smoke and sourness makes sure this is not cloying. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 20, 2010
UPDATED: MAY 21, 2010 Draft @ De Molen. 100% solid black pour, huge, extremely dense creamy dark brown head. Beautiful and impressive. Aroma is butter, liquorice, salty/silty, oyster/soy sauce, band aid and ve-tsin. So this is umami?
Flavour is bitter and salty/silty of oyster/soy, salt liquorice, also hops, coffee, peat, spelt. Extremely creamy and full palate, clinging on for ever.
Incomparable. KimJohansen (10498) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2010
