Bottle. Its pitch black with a creamy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee and loads of sweet caramel. The flavour is very roasted and quite dry. Smoke, chocolate and roasted coffee. Creamy texture. Very nice! Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Nip bottle, bottled on 5/3/10.. apparently only 96 bottles in the batch. Poured near-black with just about nothing going on head-wise. The aroma was very strong, with rich black malt and licorice roast topped by salty character and ash.. more and more smoke came out as it warmed.. it sort of grew on me, but I didn’t love it. The flavor found burnt, fairly generic black malt roast at the core.. big oxidation, smoked peat, and peppery notes around and throughout.. sourness, smoked malt, and sharp belly warmth in the end. Heavy-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. this felt like it was past its prime and breaking down. Borresteijn (7399) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 28, 2010
On tap at Borefts BF ’10. Black colour, no head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, dried dark fruits, bourbon, soy sauce, hard roasted malts. Flavour is coffee, sweet, light soy sauce, dark fruits, hard roasted malts, coffee bitter finish but overall too sweet imo. Medium to fullbodied, slick mouthfeel. larsniclas (7187) - Billdal, SWEDEN - SEP 26, 2011

A Sim rate (tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival): Sharp, whisky aroma but with a creamy edge. Sweet brown sugar & coffee. Appearance is pitch black with a brown head. Burnt toast & roast coffee beans in the amazing flavour. It’s creamy coffee... not with skimmed milk as I make it these days, but made with half-and-half, how I no longer dare. So thick that it sticks to your palate. So, so good! KnutAlbert (6771) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 20, 2010
On tap at Copenhagen Beer Festival.
Coffee, cream, smooth and easy drinking.
Some soot, smoke and sourness makes sure this is not cloying. Beer5000 (6674) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 4, 2010

Brown lacing on top of a black body.
Smell is a strong mix of: liquorice, roasted malts and ingredients, hints of cream.
Taste is a great viscous mix of coffee, toffee, liquorice, caramel and roasted malts.
Nice bitter aftertaste.
Small bottle, looks really good. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Heavy malty aroma, modest sweet. Starts complex-malty, fine chocolate notes, a bit smokey. Also some woody-sweet notes. Finish still sweet, strong-malty, also with a salty touch. Quite drinkable for its strength. Good beer!
