Op tap @ de molen. Pitch black pour with a very thick creamy tan head, leaving huge amounts of lacing. Aroma of butterscotch, bourbon, leather, cream, caramel, some coffee and roasted malts. The flavor is amazing, a bitter explosion of coffee, dark malts, caramel, some faint cognac, a hint of peat, bourbon, leather... everything is in there and remains lingering for ever after. Very full bodied, creamy texture and average carbonation. Amazing brew. skortila (5873) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAY 18, 2010

On tap at KØ-10. It pours a more or less black body with just some dark brown notes around the edges. A brown head sits on top. The aroma is roasted and boozy, with chocolate and mocha, all well pronounced and integrated. That goes for the flavor too, there’s loads and loads of delicious flavors, mocha, chocolate, roasted malts and sweetness, and a nice boozy touch that deals with the sweetness. Roasted-bitter finish. Full-bodied, warming, sweet and dryish at the same time. A wonderfully complex beer, certainly one of my favorites from the festival. 100508 Travlr (24826) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 2, 2010
