BeerFest2010. Pitch black creamy reddish brown head. Aroma is fruits, wood, mild honey, some slight hops and earth. Flavour is spices, liquorice, bread and some mild nutty notes as well. Hides the alcohol very well.

Bottle 18 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, rough, beige head. Hard roasted malt in the nose as well as whisky notes? Quite full-bodied, hard roasted malt, fairly sweet vanilla with a distinct warming alcohol in the finish. 070510

Intensiver und aromatischer Malzantrunk mit starken Schokoladennoten. Hocharomatisch, dabei ziemlich süß, was das intensive aber nur wenig röstige Malz ausgleicht. Recht intensiv, zum Ende trocken-schokoladig, angenehm. Intensives Erlebnis! 9/13/8/13//13

Tap @ CBF. Aroma has leather, soy sauce, very intense, dark chocolate, a hint of vanilla, tar, cough syrup. Nice balance between intense roast and sweetness. Taste has soy sauce, leather, intense coffee, fark chocolate, hints of cherries, vanilla, caramel and toffey. Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Pours black as Coke with a small creamy tanned head.Aroma of wood, liquorice and peat. Full bodied.Taste is moderate sweet, smooth liquorice, dark roasted . A real pleasure to drink.

Aroma of warm wood floors and paneled rooms (haddonsman); bretty chocolate (harrisoni); sweet leather armchair taste (hughie); some dryness. Yes, I very occasionally lick my leather armchairs when I am in my cups.
