Bottle @home, The I can’t believe they voted for Trump tasting (Nov 8th). Pours black, big and thick beige head which lasted all glass and would have lasted longer than Hillary. Nose is toffee, coffee its fruity, slight grape. Taste is chocolate, dark chocolate, slightly sweet nuttiness coming through. mateuszk (2769) - Poznań, POLAND - AUG 22, 2016
Bottle. Black in colour, small beige head. Hoppy black ale (grapefruit and pine notes) with light roasty notes from black malts. Medium body, soft carbonation, bitter finish. pivnizub (10959) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 21, 2016
Buddel:Literally black with a medium sized and stable tanned head; toasted malt, dried fruits and nutty traces in the nose, grapefruity hops in the background; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, soft MF; lingering grapefruity-hoppy finish with malt and coffee and leather. Bottle - Opaque black colour, medium, creamy tan head, excellent retention and fine lacing. Intense hoppy nose with coffee, chocolate and resinous scents. Taste is toasted malts with nutty tones, some coffee and cocoa powder, dark dried fruits, lemon zest, pine, grapefruit, a touch of ash and smoke. Nice balance between rich toasted malty taste and fresh hoppy aromas. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, smotth texture, lingering bitter finish with some roasted aftertaste. Very beautiful ale, but its more like a american style RIS for me, than a black IPA, because of the intense roasted character.

Drank it almost 2 years after production.
Pours an average frothy light brown head. Body is black.
Aromas of malts, yeasts and hops.
Fruity at first, then roasted with coffee. I guess most of the hop flavors are gone which makes it more like a stout than an IPA. Still, quite good. I have to try it again with a fresher one.

Bottled. Old note. Aroma has tropical fruits from the hops and some roast coffee more in the background. Dark coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is moderate bitter, has some toffee sweetness, tropical fruits, some coffee and roast. Medium bodied beer. Pretty decent. JeyAre (240) - - OCT 12, 2015
Dark espresso, very reach taste, almost no smoke in it. The one I drank was well expired but still very good rouhlas (4018) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - SEP 8, 2015
330ml bottle. Black color with beige brown head. Hoppy and roasted malty aroma, grassy, grapefruit, pine, licorice. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Alengrin (6007) - BELGIUM - AUG 25, 2015
De Molen’s BIPA, thanks to Stefan for sharing. Towering, rocky, dense, creamy, light beige head over a very dark bronze beer, almost black. Aroma strikingly has a lot of orange juice at first, next to hints of marmelade, grapefruit peel, cedar, white pepper, chocolate, toasted bread, hazelnuts and iron but in a good way. Restrained dark fruitiness, raisins and dates but not too sweet, very nutty from the start, toasted with a smooth, soft, supple mouthfeel, a bit iron-like in the middle but not actually metallic, roasted bitter touch in the end as well as a sweeter chocolate touch, ending in a fragrant, grapefruity, resiny, long and deeply bittering hoppiness. Absolutely lovely.
