Bottle shared at Ash’s. Pours black with a thick beige head. Aromas of light roast, coffee, pine. Taste is bitter, more pine, coffee, burnt orange. Definitely more of a stout on the finish. First wee tasting of the summer

Bottle from a corner shop. Appearance - like an expresso. Nose - more coffee notes. Dark chocolate. Taste - there is a tangy orange note but generally this is all about roast flavours. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly decent finish. Overall - it’s a good stout not an ipa.

Opaque black with small tan head. Warm fruity (esp. cherry) aroma. Flavor is fruity without being sweet, and full of bitter coffee notes on the end. Medium body tending towards astringent. Beers like this make me happy.

uckelman (799) - Durham, ENGLAND - JUN 27, 2015
Pours black with dense beige head. Aroma is very sweet and sticky, at bit like sniffing a rum-soaked fruitcake. Flavor is surprisingly unsweet. A lot of roasted malt notes and medium body. Long, toasty finish. Very good.

330ml bottle, pours black with a white head. Aroma is very hoppy, passion fruit and mango over roasted malt. Medium bodied with a rich malt backbone. Oily texture with a fine carbonation. Medium sweetness combines with juicy fruit hoppiness, finishing lightly bitter with a tropical fruit aftertaste.
