Great and long creamy head giving beautiful lacing on glass. Pours black. Aroma explodes with hops, firstly more herbal then citrus. Great notes of dark malts combine with herbs countered by nice mandarin like notes which make this bear very drinkable. Alcohol is well disguised. Palate is rich from herbs through dark malts, melanoidines and citrus hops. Almost perfect CDA. It’s the best Imperial Cascadian Dark Ale I have ever drunk!!! Kurdos to De Molen. Drunk from bottle, 4 months after bottling (date 19/12/13). LaViolette (118) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JAN 22, 2015
Waooouh! An amazing black IPA. Great hoppy nose full of grapefruit, tropical fruits and hints of caramel and smoky wood. Beautiful deep dark colour. Taste is perfect, well balanced, nice bitterness, great finish... I am very impressed!
