Draught at Arendnest, Amsterdam. Hazy orange beer with a small offwhite head. Fruity yeasty aroma, spicy notes, caramel, peach, some yeast. Yeasty malty flavor, caramel, peach, some alcohol. Yeasty malty caramel finish, some marcipan.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark golden beer with a big white head on top. Aroma of Belgian yeast, bready notes, some malts hint of banana. Flavor is intense sweet, loads of the sweeter yeast, booze, slightly off balance. The sweetness overwhelms the palate, not always that good. Yet, the full body palate ll makes up for some lost points. Just OK.

Uitstekende tripel. Zacht, licht zoet en rijk van smaak. Tonen van citrus. Goed uitgebalanceerd. Wel laag on koolzuur en schuim.

(De Naeckte Brouwers Nimf) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a big tulip, ABV 9% Deep orange colour on the body, hazy, with a small and thin white head on top, with average retention. The aroma has malts, sugars, alcohol. Taste of malts, sugars, apricot, some peach, ripe fruits, alcohol. Medium body with a good amount of carbonation. An okay tripel.

0.33 l bottle from ’Tabak’s Wijndiscount & Bierwinkel’, best before June 2017. Clear, pale golden amber with a thin, soapy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, yeasty-spicy, slightly fruity aroma of honey, banana, clove, vanilla and some citrus. Sweet- yeasty-spicy, minimally fruity taste of honey, vanilla, banana, clove and minimal hints of citrus, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy and moderately warming finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Ordinary tripel, sweet, drinkable, okay.

Tap @ Gastropub Tuulensuu.
Pours hazy golden color with a large white head. Sweet fruits like peach and apricot on the nose, yeast with some spices and hints of toffee. Flavor is also sweet and fruity, mild yeast and earth notes, some toffee and subtle spices on the finish. Strong carbonation. Better than I expected.

330ml bottle (Viisi Pennia, Helsinki)
Sweet stodgy rice puddingy dead flat malty aroma. Not a tripel, as there’s no attenuation at all. Sweet malty body, smooth palate from the sweetness. Milky finish, there’s the rie pudding again. Booze is clearl there at the back of the mouth. Actually fairly tasty, but just a bit heavy. Shit, should have gone for the higher-rated dubbel instead, but I wanted something crisp, and thought a tripel was more likely to satisfy. Alas not. Raisiny bread pudding finish. Pretty messed up tripel, but not a complete disaster at all, just a disappointment.

rikstar (2605) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 13, 2015
0,33l fles gedeeld bij nikos. Amber met een witte kraag. Geur en smaak zijn zoet met aardbei en abrikozen jam. Zo goed als geen Co2 te een dimensionaal
