Bottled. Old note. The aroma has roast, peat, coffee, laurel. Black coloured beer with a thin head. The taste is just slightly peaty, has roast, some coffee and licorice. Mostly Laphraoig is a bad omen, but in this case it was within acceptable range. mike_77 (7142) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - APR 3, 2016
Dark brown with thin wispy head. Aroma has a hint of alcohol and wood. Flavour has lots of sweet notes up front with some chocolate and caramel. Very light whiskey and smoke in the background. Warming. TimE (6165) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 28, 2015
Light brown color. Sour almost off putting nose with a touch of roasted malt and peat from the scotch. Very low carbonation but sour with some odd roasted malt notes. Big peaty finish. Not very pleasent. Slaktmasken (69) - Gothenburg, SWEDEN - APR 8, 2015
Bottle recieved in trade. Pours dark brown with a minimal ebony head. Smokey aroma. Tastes great. yngwie (17261) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2014
Bottle. An almost clear, brown colored beer topped by a minimal sized beige head. Acetone, perfume, booze and roasted malts in the aroma. The flavor has some of that typical heavy peat smoke from the Laphraoig barrels, as well as perfume and higher alcohols. Roasted matls too. Medium body, lightly warming. Lasting peated, perfumed and alcoholic finish. Even though there’s some nice things going on, there’s too much unpleasant with it that I don’t think I could have a whole bottle on my own. 140613

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma of charcoal, peat and roasted malts. The Laphroaig is not really present here, but noticeable. Flavor is sweet, smokey and has some peat in there as well. Light bitter aftertaste, thin bodied. Soft carbo, watery mouthfeel. Not the best barrel aged imperial stout. fles #287/480, donker bruin, ondoorzichtig met minimale witte kraag.
