Flesje gedronken tijdens vakantie. Geel, oranje-achtig bier met vlokjes. Schuim blijft als een dun laagje liggen. Aroma is citrusachtig. Smaak is fruitig, kruidig met een hint van koffie en karamel. De nasmaak is een beetje karamel achtig maar ebt snel weg.

Drunk the beer as: Pittige Jette Zeeuwsch Trippel Abdijbier. Should be the same. The looks of the beer are fine for this type of beer. The color of the beer is a nice yellow color, with a golden touch. The beer has a nice silky cloudiness. On top of the beer a nice layer of soft, white foam is formed. The majority of the foam collapses within seconds. A thin drape is left after some time. The smell of the beer isn’t bad. It is not that strong, and also not that special. It sure ain’t bad though. I smell some smells that remind me of Belgian trippel. Some malty touches, not that many clear hop aroma’s (but a tiny freshness that can be from the hops), and clear yeast aroma’s. The yeasts are quite Belgian to me. The yeast aroma’s are a bit leaf like, a bit herbal. Not bad. The taste of the beer is nice. Pretty much the same as the smell. Nice malty flavors, some hoppy freshness and a nice yeasty flavour. The beer has some nice sweets, for a tripel rather malt bitters and a tiny sour touch. Eventhough the bitterness isn’t that strong, the beer is balanced. The palate of the beer is not that special. Medium body, medium high carbonation, smooth. Finish is nice, some warming alcohol and a nice flavour. Pretty nice beer.

Heldere gouden kleur en een volle kraag. Ruikt zoetig kruiden mout. Smaakt zoetig, kruiden, mout. Zoete meuk.

Thank you Mathieu87 & PriorL! 330 ml. bottle sampled as “Bonifacius Tripel Abdijbier” @ “Mathieu’s house cooling party”. BBF 29/05/2015. Hazy orange, little head. Nose is esters, rotting malt, sugar, spoiled grains, murky,… Taste is overly fizzy, rotting corn & grains, spoiled herbs, malts, rotting weeds, fizzy,… Not very pleasant, possibly flawed.

0,33l fles bij de biet in Zierikzee. Goudgeel witte kraag. Zoet met een zuurtje vanille en citroen. Lijkt wat op duvel. Mwah

Deze tripel heeft een frisse, graanachtige geur. De smaak is rijk: er zit een laag van rijp fruit in, alsmede van hop en tarwe (spelt). Het bier is goudkleurig, licht troebel en heeft een mooie schuimkop. Lekker bier.
