0.33 l bottle from De Slijterij van Alkmaar - Centrum as Vurige Non, best before November 2017. Clear, dark red with a medium large, dense, stable, beige head. Sweetish, slightly yeasty-spicy and a little fruity aroma of caramel, red fruits and some chocolate. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a little yeasty-spicy taste of caramel, brown sugar, some chocolate, hints of red fruits and a bit of overripe banana, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little roasty and a bit yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. A bit too sweet and quite one-dimensional, but actually not bad!

I tried the "Vurige Non" version of this beer, which is apparently the same beer, by the same company, but on another name. Have to say I choose this one especially for its bottle visual (Nude nons are always fun), without any clue about what I will have to drink, but ive been pleased a lot. Tasty red fruits flavour, very well balanced, for a light, but quite enjoyable beer. Im usually not fond of aromatized beers, but this one worked pretty well on me. Trust the nuns, enjoy the fun. UPDATED: MAR 22, 2016 Opmerkelijk zachte dubbel. Zoet met hinten van karamel en anijs. Mooi moutig en subtiel. Echt een goed biertje die je niet te koud moet drinken. Puike dubbel.

Drank with Thijs 24-1-2016 while Malou was in the Netherlands for the weekend. Thin double, not a bad taste but not very complex. Thin, sweet, alcohol, mainly.

Bruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en licht zoet, caramel, chokolade en noot achtig. Erg goed.

Boven verwachting, mooi traditioneel biertje. Troebel lichtbruin bier met stevige schuimkraag. Redelijk zoet en vol, niet te veel carbo. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle - 2012 vintage. Pours hazy brown red with a fizzy small eggshell whitish beige head. Clearly evolved but in a nice and refine way. Loads of rich sweet nuts, roasted malts, caramel, and well integrated madeira hints. Medium body, sweet, slight slight bitterness in the middle, semi-dry finish. Taste is caramel malts and maple syrup, honey. Nice everyday beer
