Zowel van tap in de brouwerij, als later van fles. Aroma matig, maar de smaak is prima. Vol, droog. Toch wel van genoten.

Amber to dark-orange colour with a firm tan head. Aroma is mainly malts, wet bread, with a little grass or straw. Taste also malts, with a nice hop bitterness, light sweetness of honey. Creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle 33cl. Poured into a lager glass. Hazy pale to medium amber, a lot of small bubbles, good two finger frothy off-white to beige head, good retention, and lacing; aroma malts, grain, caramel, yeast; taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, bit roasted, toffee, grainy; sweetbitter aftertaste, dry finish with lingering maltiness; medium body, oily texture, average carbonation; quite nice.
Earlier Rating: 9/1/2014 Total Score: 3.3
Bottle 33cl. Cloudy pale amber color, two finger thin foamy off-white head, mostly diminishing, some lacing; aroma citrus, orangy, grainy, hint of caramel; taste moderate sweet and light bitter; medium body, oily texture, peppery on the tongue; mild hopbitter finish. The beer feels a bit unstable, anyway not your typical Dortmunder,

Zlotta (3972) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - JUL 7, 2016
Sampled from tap at the brewpub as ’De Prael Dortmunder’ at 6.4% abv. Hazy, golden amber with an off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly grassy aroma of caramel, straw and honey. Sweetish-malty, a little grassy taste of caramel, honey, some straw and hints of peach, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little grassy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, but far from what I expected.

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, amber to copper colour with a big and off-white frothy head. Yeasty, zesty fruity and malty aroma with notes of citrus, ripe oranges, blossoms and a tinge of caramel. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a sparkling carbonation. Spritzy malty start with citric fruity notes and a whiff of caramel, gets a tad fizzy towards the sweet-bitter and mildly fruity and finally herbal-spicy finish. Not a bad brew, but a Dortmunder ?! 29.VI.16

Ambar. Muy gaseosa. Enorme espuma muy duradera. Aroma resinoso. En boca lo primero que se percibe es el gas. Excesivo. El sabor es muy acaramelado sin llegara empalagar por un amargor creciente, marcado y reforzado por lo punzante de la burbuja. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pivnizub (10842) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - MAR 30, 2016
Lahev: Deep golden with an orangey sheen, smaller persistent off-white head;grains, hops and a touch of alcohol in the quite robust and dry aroma;solid bitter-sweet flavour, at least medium bodied, a bit fizzy; lingering, drier & hoppier finish. Not bad, but more an Imperial Dortmunder than a regular Helles…
