Good tripel that knows a very fine balance between strength and flavor. Nice hints of citrus, hay, coffee and dough.

Long time since I drank this... Bottle pours hazy golden/amber coloured, with hardly any white head. Aroma is malty, sweetish yellow fruits, spicy (probably the coriander). Taste same, but also with a light soury freshness, and a short bitterness in the finish; little unclear, actually. Low on the carbo. Im less impressed than I hoped, with this 25 yr experienced Amsterdam brewery, but after having drunk so many others (and better).

Bottle thanks to Nihtila. Appearance - golden with a thinner head than expected. Nose - herbal and dried lemon peel. Taste - honey and banana. Dried lemon. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish Overall - good but underwhelming for the style.

Bottle 0.33l at Hanneke Boom Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 10.07.2016. HBJ. Taste as Hanneke Tripel. Pour it cloudy amber color with small white head. Aroma sweet spice, yeasty. Taste bitters orange juice, spices in the middle, Belgian kind of yeast at the end, not so bad, decent one.

Zlotta (2507) - Hagen, GERMANY - JUL 7, 2016
Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Hazy, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish, spicy and a little fruity aroma of caramel, honey, peach and clove. Sweetish, quite spicy and a little fruity taste of caramel, honey, vanilla, peach and clove, followed by a short, moderately bitter, yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice!
