Julio’s Belgian Beer Festival. Sample. By the time I got to this one I was seeing double. Rating it to keep track but don’t have any particulars. egajdzis (6501) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 16, 2009
Hazy dark amber color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of earthy yeast, light spices, ripe fruits, some caramel, and toast. Taste of caramel malts, nuts, toast, peppery spices, and a semi-dry finish. hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 14, 2009
Thanks Josh for bringing this 750ml bottle over. I would have guessed it was a Unibrou beer based on the label. Poured a medium and clear amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of rotten citrus, oakiness, spices, and fruity. Tastes of caramel, fruity, and spices. RCL (2030) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 13, 2009
Fascinating aroma has quite a bit tropical fruit - banana bubblegum. Flavor has some nice cocoa notes to it. Interesting beer. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - AUG 13, 2009
Pours a mostly translucent golden amber with a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of childrens tylenol, medicinal cherry, peppery notes, toasted malt, lightly fruity. Flavor of cereal grains, sweet toasted malt, a little sweet for a saison, light peppery notes and tingly carbonation.

Bottle from Julio’s. Pours dark amber, with creamy white head. Aroma is not very powerful, slight fruit notes. Flavor is not like other saisons. Anise notes are present, but not overpowering. Overall, OK.
