Draft pour at Special Brews. Pours orange with a very nice, mellow Belgian style aroma. Sweet tropical fruit flavors with maybe a touch of coconut. Starts sweet, and ends really bitter. This is a strange beer, but overall I can say I like it.

Deep golden amber pour. Strong triple, goes good with a batch of streamed clams and corn on the Cobb. Poured from a 750mL bottle. Rich and full flavored. Great for those summer dinners. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle. Pours a translucent dark golden color and lacing. Aroma is sweet and slightly oaky but a little off. Belgian tripel sweetness in the flavor with hint of Brett and and tropical fruit. Interesting.

Had on tap at the Grog. $8.50 for the 8 oz. serving. To cognac snifter, it poured a a bright amber orange with which a whitish-ringed head barely a finger in length stood. Estery, peppery, and vaguely spicy, with hints of juniper berries, white sage, cough syrup and unripe blueberries & raspberries.Had experienced rolling tobacco, Belgian yeast, and fruit leather by swallow. Coconut was credibly pronounced on the aroma; but hid remarkably well while sipping. I could say this was earthy and weird, and just be done with it. And I am.

Bottle... Clear golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The bouquet offers sweet malts, a mild measure of farmhouse yeast spiciness and gentle acidity. Medium to full-bodied with jazzy carbonation. The flavor is lightly tart, mildly phenolic and spicy. Finishes lightly bitter, tangy, and then dry.

Taste is citrus, with a predominance of pineapple and passion fruit , with some nice hoppy notes. Finish is sweet and fruity as well, with a moderately long finish. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Pours a hazy dark amber gold with an off white head and aroma of spices and sweet tropical fruits. Taste is sweet, delicious tropical fruit notes, citrus, pineapple, and peaches with bittering hops and spices into the dry, sweet finish. Great, tasty Belgian

portion of a 750ml bottle served in a Belgian snifter. Pours the color of honey; hazy. Aroma: spot on given the "Tropical Tripel": theres a substantial note of coconut, pineapple, citrus and other tropical fruits plus a Belgian tripel in the background. Flavor: the base ale makes a stronger appearance in tasting where it is nicely balanced by the fruits and a hint of coconut. Appropriately sweet but eventually leaves a mildly bitter aftertaste.
