A farmhouse style ale featuring pronounced ripe notes of pineapple and peaches in the nose balanced by hints of dry hop aroma. A unique blend of wild yeast and bugs creates a subtle and pleasing earthiness to the nose and on the palate. It has considerable finesse and pleasantly thirst quenching.

Malts: Pilsner, malted white wheat, blend of oats, wheat, rye, barley
Hops: Sterling, Galaxy, Mosaic
Yeast: Mixed fermentation of brett and custom microbes

Created in 2007, the annual De Proef Brewmaster’s Collaboration series has featured some of the most notable brewers and breweries in the United States. It has been consistently noted for both quality and creativity and was a forerunner to the numerous collaborations which now dot the brewing landscape.

For the 10th anniversary collaboration, we have selected the newest and perhaps smallest brewer to ever participate in this series - Jean-Claude Tetreault of Trillium Brewing Company in Boston.

In only its third year of operation, Trillium has taken the brewing world by storm. Boston Magazine named Trillium Boston’s Best Brewery and a remarkable 21 of the Trillium beers rate at the 98th percentile and above on RateBeer. They have just opened their 2nd brewery in the Boston suburb of Canton to quench the thirst and demand from New England beer lovers. It is our great pleasure to combine JC’s talents with that of De Proef’s Dirk Naudts to bring this unique collaboration to beer lovers across the country.

Tap. Pours lightly hazy golden orange, small white head, great lacing. Aroma is fruity, oak, melon, grapefruit , mango, did I say fruity? Flavors is light tart, more fruit, stonefruit. Not much done though. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Great beer by 2 great breweries. The hops really shined with the funky belgian yeast.

33 cl bottle. Pours cloudy yellow, small white and creamy head. Aroma is mild fruity, slight sourish and bretty. Crisp hoppy and smooth fruity. Lingering bretty into the far finish.

Bottle at North River. Pours a softly hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Musk and citrus on the nose. Medium bodied, soft musk and a hint of tartness, tangy and super fruity. Floral, tangy, beautiful.

Ar: White grapes, very vinous; bright citrus and pineapple, very pronounced; some tart acidity, lemony and wine-like. Ap: Golden yellow and hazy; small white head with medium-low retention, leaving a colony of suds, a thin haze of foam, and a solid ring. T: Tart and lemony; lots of white grapes, almost like a sauvignon blanc; moderate hay and low barnyard; lemon, lime, and grapefruit rinds; bitterness is low, with a lean, leafy hop character; on the finish it is chalky and lightly acidic, with lingering pineapple, white grape, and lime. P: Light body with high carbonation; finish is dry. O: This is a world-class saison; it has the dryness, brightness, and quaffability of a great saison; added in is a complementary wildness--pineapple, barnyard, and acidity--and some excellent hop flavors; the white grape character is really unique, too.

12oz bottle shared by Bvery, thanks buddy! Clear yellow pour. Love the aroma, citrus, hoppy, little funk. Taste is well balanced with all those things going on, like a mix of saison and IPA, light refreshing and clean. Great beer.

Bottle from Eric - thanks! Pale gold pour with a white head. Awesome aroma of peaches, pineapple, slight funk. Juicy taste with a fairly soft palate. Great.

11.2 oz bottle. Pours bright orange-yellow with slight head and enduring lacing. Aroma of various citrus, slight yeast, grains?, perhaps some malt, crayfish from a creek?... very different than anything I’ve had before. Taste mostly of pineapple and lemon zest, some malt, alcohol. Finishes about the same, perhaps a bit more alcohol. Nice, not my favorite style, but a good farmhouse ale.

Bottle from the COOP.. easy to see the Trillium influence.. Clear bright golden yellow... bunches of tropical fruity hoppiness... dry grainy with hints of lemon zest... very nice. All 3.75s

Truly nice farmhouse. Good aromas and flavors of grainy malt, citrus, funk, with citrus and peach notes. Pretty beer and a light crisp palate with a dry finish.
