Scooped this up at Sam’s when it was there for a minute. The last couple of Proef collabs haven’t quite been up to the initial mark established with Signature, but this one was quite fine. Almost milky, cloudy orange pour with a moderate head. Lovely house yeast and brett in the nose along with some malts, peppery spice, and herbal notes. Flavors are initially a tad malty but then the beer transforms into something nicely dry and funky, with flower petals, citrus rind, and peppercorn melding well. Enjoyable, and could develop nicely over time too. thewolf (12599) - Kolding, DENMARK - JAN 22, 2012
Bottle. [thanks after4ever]
Light hazy golden with a big, frothy, white head. Fair lacings. Aroma is lovely, floral, bretty, white pepper, doughy malts, light vinious, roses, light coriander. Medium to low carbonation, fine creamy and quite dry mouthfeel. Flavour is dry, bretty for sure, some white pepper, light vinious, good herbal and floral dryness. Roses, tulips, coriander. Lingering, warming, peppery finish. Lovely beer.
