Pours a hazy copper brown on tap with fluffy tan head that slowly dissipates and leaves good lace. Aroma of dark fruity notes over a hint of oxidized caramel malt and acetic sour. Taste is sour dark fruits and a hint of dry wood, oxidized but slightly sour. Good carbonation still, mild burn, held up really well. chinchill (5224) - South Carolina, USA - NOV 3, 2014
Large shared bottle poured with a hazy red-brown body and a modest head.
Fruity, sour, lightly spicy and smoky aroma.
Very dry finish reminiscent of dry red wine.
Lightly sour and bitter. ericdevin (988) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - OCT 27, 2014
Bottle at Porter Beer Bar, Atlanta. Pours a dark, dull reddish brown with very little head. Aroma very oaky, tannic, hints of dried cherries and lacto, plums. Body still and slightly bitter, not much tartness, hop and yeast character dominates finish. Interesting enough. slowrunner77 (12569) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 1, 2014
this is a big hoppy monster with lots of oak and some brett. funky? yes. unique? oh yeah. flanders anything? not so much. i LOVED the toasted oak, which was very prevalent in the nose and flavor. the hops were pretty nice and juicy too, but the mix of those three things just didn’t really work. add in that there was no lacto pr sour qualities to speak of, just some barnyard under the hop/oak thing...and this beer is a bit of a misrepresentation advertised as an imperial flanders red. 1/17/14. 750mL bottle shared by Ian, I believe. I could have sworn I had rated this in the past... oh well. Dark amber red brown pour with a small khaki head. Oxidation on the aroma, cardboard, minty, some sweetness and dark cherries, caramel and maltiness. Oxidation in the flavor as well, mild cherries, but sweet, malty, bready. Not bad. rbrazell (1698) - Florida, USA - FEB 3, 2014

Thanks to whomever brought this to the Friday night Proof tasting. Dark orange pour, thick off-white head. Aroma of ripening fruit and alcohol. Flavor has some sweet cake mix notes, a large dollop of yeast and a whole lot of booziness. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Not a fan. Aurelius (5479) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 18, 2014
