COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A strong blonde ale of about 8% alc. by volume that claims vaguely to be an “abbey” beer, Guldenberg bears no resemblance whatsoever to any Tripel you may have sampled, except in color perhaps. It is very hoppy and malty (though not quite as assertive as De Ranke’s XX Bitter). Made in small batches only on the weekends, they are quickly gaining a reputation as the best specialty beers of Belgium.
Previously 8.5% abv.

After the first few sips, my impression is this is a fruiter, less funky, farmhouse saison. Refreshing and delicious. Elegant, complex aromas and flavors of tangerine, ripe stonefruit, florals, and Belgium yeast. Super easy to drink, with wonderful carbonation and great mouthfeel. Loved the texture!! Long finish of florals, fruit and yeast. Recommended. Yum! --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Floral, grass, hay, corn, alcohol, funky yeast. Hazy golden colour, medium white head, lacing. Noticable, herbal bite, haylike malts, alcohol, Good amount of funky yeast, grass. Fullbodied, lively carbonation, spritzy mouthfeel, hoppy and yeasty finish. Enjoyable.

Flaska 33 cl systembolaget. Disig lysorange kulör med massor av bubblor. Örtig och mustig doft. Äpplemos, hö och jäst. Söt smak av jäst, äpplekart och lite koriander. Viss bitterhet i efterbeskan.

Batch made on Jan 16, 2015. Light orange, white head. Aroma is malt, caramel. Taste is hops, spicy (yeast?), some apricot seeds. Not very pleasant, cannot feel sweetness. Very bitter, dry. Aftertaste also very bitter. Not balanced. Cannot feel alcohol. Strange beer.

In a pint glass at Moeder. Pale orange body , big white head. Honey, wheat, white grape juice, wheat. Medium body, sweet with nice balance of bitterness low carbonation. Really a hybrid of a pale ale with a tripel. Extremely well done. 4.2

Color diría que anaranjado. Espuma blanca de poca duración. Bastante cuerpo. Olor con notas especiadas. Sabor a cereal y fina amargo, pero no fuerte,

Very light, just fresh and pleasant in the first sips maybe a small hint of some fruit in the aftertaste? Don´t be afraid of this, even if you like me, found the XX bitter to be a bit of and acquired taste this is just a light and very fresh beer. light body, thin feel, average carbonation, a very small hint of bitterness in the finish, As the beer heats and oxygenates yeast flavors also start to become pronounced.
