Kriek de Rank is real Belgian sour ale fermented with cherries and then blended with real lambic. It is unfiltered and unpasterized. The de Rank brewery was founded by two good friends; Nino Bacelle & Guido Devose. To them, brewing is a weekend hobby, not an occupation. For a few hours every week they make small batches of what many consider the best specialty beers. Their beers are robust and flavorful. They use the best Hallertau and brewer’s Gold varieties of hops.

Bottle shared with friends. Color: deep dark red beer with no carbonation and no foam. Smell: cherry and almond domination, sourness. Tart. Taste: medium body with cherry sourness and fruity almond notes. Quiet well balanced. Astringent. Aftertaste: cheery, almond. Tart. Very nice.

Beautiful pink colour. Somewhat hazy. Aroma is cherries with a hint of lime. Taste is plenty of sour cherries. Incredibly smooth texture.

Belle robe grenat claire, fine mousse. Nez tout en élégance sur des belle notes de cerise griotte, sur un fond acidulé et une pointe de céréales et de houblon. Bouche tout en finesse, fruit et élégance, fine bulle acidulée, longue finale fruitée. Un régal

Annual 75cl vintages since 2012-13 and draught @Ganzerik, Gent Feb 2017. - Pink-mauvish pour with off-pinkish head. Musty almond cherry pit and sharp lime lacto in aroma. Flavour and bonedry mouthfeel point toward an oldschool lacto Berliner Weisse steeped with cherry&pips - if it weren’t for that deep adn deeply Belgian musty, bretty underbelly. Cherry flesh and juice all drained gnawed out of vital juices by what must be a zombie monster of a brett/lacto culture. Refreshing, distinct, headstrong for an off-Pajottenland kriek.

Tap at Moeder Fontaines. Clean lactic character blends well with tha standard natural kriek feeling. Finishes slightly tart. Balanced, dry, easy drinking. Great.
