COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Candi-sugar; Yeast.
The heaviest ale on our menu with a very rich taste, coming from the six different kinds of malt we use. These malts also give it that rich, dark, nearly black colour. The royal doses of Challenger and Saaz hops bring the typical balance between sweet and bitter.

Very dark brown with a substantial beige head. No significant aromatics, even after it warmed a bit - just the faintest hint of dark fruit. The flavor was noticeably that of a plumb pudding. Overall a decent abbey dubbel - a stout it is not.

11.2oz bottle. Big foamy khaki head. Decent lace. Lightly roasty aroma. Milk chocolate. Mostly sweet taste. Big body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Kind of cloyingly sweet for me. Light on the roast in the flavor. Ok, but not my type of stout.

Very dark pour with two fingers of tan head. Raisins, prunes and caramel with a shot of hop bitterness thrown in. Definitely not just another stout.

Poured a dark reddish brown with a minimal head. Heavily malty on the nose, nicely balanced hop and sweetness in taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Extreme dark brown with a small but thick cap floating on top. Sweet raisins, metallic, vanilla, brown sugar ............... aroma finishes with hints vinegar. Sweet hints of cheery, plum, raisins....dark fruit is what Im trying to say. Elements of soya sauce but so very mild, candy sugar that is slightly burnt. Wow this is sweet... almost to sweet. Yeast but not really, I guess I taste yeast but its been obliterated by sweetness. Medium to thin body. Very strange aftertaste thats not winning me over. Charcoal in the finish with lingering sweetness. Good enough brew to drink but nothing great. Hahaha just saw this listed as a stout, no way in hell this is a stout Belgian strong all the way.
