COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Candi-sugar; Yeast.
The heaviest ale on our menu with a very rich taste, coming from the six different kinds of malt we use. These malts also give it that rich, dark, nearly black colour. The royal doses of Challenger and Saaz hops bring the typical balance between sweet and bitter.

Bottle from systembolaget. Some roastiness and leather in the aroma, hints of chocolate and liqourice. The aroma is nice but could have been more powerfull. Dark red appearance. Lots of burnt notes in the taste. There are som coffee as well nicely balanced with some sweetness. The sweetness however is a bit to much especially combined with the alcohol taste which is there in small notes. Medium to full body with a bit to sweet finish. There are some nice qualities to this beer but it is bit to sweet.

Bottle. Dark Reddish Brown colour. Medium foamy off-white head. Very Fruity; dark fruits, plums, raisins. Vinous. Yeasty and spicy (peppery). Malty; roasty malts, caramel, candy sugar, chocolate notes, liquorice. Grassy hops. Sweet-bitter fruity spicy malty with a distinct sour fruity edge. Dry bitter finish. Liked this. Tasty. Decent.

Decent, but sligthly in between styles. Malty, but not stoutish. Not really getting the feeling of a Strong Ale either.

Caramel, dark fruits, some roasted hints, brown with a good head, medium body, medium carbonation, taste is similar with a dry and bitter final...yes good even if i prefer sweeter dark belgian.

70cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Dark brown, hazy, medium foamy off white head. Nose is rich, malty, cereal grains, husky brown grains, toasted malt, yeast extract, milk chocolate, slight hazelnut. Taste is roasted malt, hazelnut, brown cereal grains, milk chocolate. Sublime. Another hit from those boys at De Ranke.

Bottle at home. Dark brown with fizzy beige head that leaves a big ring. Red apple, caramel, light ash and dark chocolate, soft berries, toffee, sweet rye bread, cinnamon, dead leaves and earth. Its quite complex with sweet and dried fruits that go through sweet malts into deep earthy notes. Over medium sweet and under medium bitter. Full bodied. At first I thought it was a bit middle of the road it it did warm on me a bit.

Bottle, 330 ml from Beergium, shared with JFK10000, Max and Domagoj. Pours brown with average sized light brown head. Malty, caramel, chocolate, nutty, some light brown sugar. Light to moderate sweetness. Medium bodied. Not my cup of tea I guess.
