COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Candi-sugar; Yeast.
The heaviest ale on our menu with a very rich taste, coming from the six different kinds of malt we use. These malts also give it that rich, dark, nearly black colour. The royal doses of Challenger and Saaz hops bring the typical balance between sweet and bitter.

Bottle from systembolaget. Some roastiness and leather in the aroma, hints of chocolate and liqourice. The aroma is nice but could have been more powerfull. Dark red appearance. Lots of burnt notes in the taste. There are som coffee as well nicely balanced with some sweetness. The sweetness however is a bit to much especially combined with the alcohol taste which is there in small notes. Medium to full body with a bit to sweet finish. There are some nice qualities to this beer but it is bit to sweet.

Bottle 33cl, Chalice glass, @Home A different approach to dark strong ale with much more hop presence which leads to a more complex aroma and flavour: typical yeast and malt but also a brownish and Flanders red touch. Very subtle bubbles and elegant lacing. Alcohol very well hidden up to the very end. Not to be missed for this style.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Liors place. Thanks Shmupi. The aroma has notes of prune, yeasts, date honey and some fruitiness. Sweet flavor with notes of yeasts, prune, dried fruits and date honey, sourish, alcoholic. Sticky texture, full-bodied.

Bottle@ Friends/chef. Appearance: pours slightly cloudy red-brown with massive beige soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: brown sugar, light liquorice and some fruity yeasty notes. palette: medium to strong yeasty and sweet malty aroma, average carbonation, medium body, average to notable sweetness, well balanced by a medium to notable bitterness, average to long duration and an oily texture. Overall: very nice strong ale with both roasted and yeasty twists

Bottle. Migs World Wines, Brussels. Deep, ruby brown. Lightly hazy. Thin, dense, lasting, beige head. Nicely leggy. Nose has estery, just about to start fermenting, plum and dessert apple. Some treacle. Some woody malts in the background. Hint of black cherry and cherry stone. Taste is chewy, stone fruit sweet, with a roast malt bitterness, thats not particularly present on the nose, giving a nice balance of flavours. Soft and foamy mouthfeel. Doesnt feel close to the ABV. Fruity, sweet, chocolate cherry truffle finish. Lovely.

Tumma vri, kiva tihe pysyv vaahto. Makeutta sek tuoksussa, ett maussa. Alkoholi ehk pikkasen liian voimakas. Mutta kokonaisuutena oikein hyv.

Bottle. Teku. Dark amber/brown, medium hazy with medium, dirty white head. Good lacing and moderate head retention. Heavy malty with some roasted caramel malts, also some nuts and dried fruits, lightly yeasty. Taste is moderately sweet, broken by moderate bitter notes - constant and long lasting, finish is fruity, malty and dry. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Nice and unusual belgian strong ale with little residual sugars.
