COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Candi-sugar; Yeast.
The heaviest ale on our menu with a very rich taste, coming from the six different kinds of malt we use. These malts also give it that rich, dark, nearly black colour. The royal doses of Challenger and Saaz hops bring the typical balance between sweet and bitter.

treadyroc (163) - St. Leonard, Maryland, USA - JUN 17, 2011
Aroma of roasty caramel. Pours a deep brown with a 1 finger foamy head. Just enough bitterness to offset the initial sweet taste & finishes as a well balanced dance between the 2. One of my faves.

BroSpud (2251) - , Massachusetts, USA - NOV 23, 2017
330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head and some sludge at the bottom of the bottle. Dark fruits, licorice, plum and coffee. Very complex.

mateuszk (2769) - Poznań, POLAND - NOV 6, 2017
Bottle. Plies dark in colour, no head. Malty aroma with hint of fruits and raisins. In taste sweety, malty with touch of spiciness. Rather full bodied, quite bitter with fruity finish.

benpickens (537) - Camarillo, California, USA - OCT 29, 2017
Pours dark brown with a slight head that doesn't hold well; figs and ripe bananas on the nose; warming palate with an off dry finish.

3.8
jjsint (3502) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2017
Bottle from Cafe Bruxelles, Leicester. Dark brown with a swirl of off-white head. Chocolate, hazelnut, brandied plum and pure smoke compete in a bewitching aroma. Taste is even better: sweet and boozy with an assertive but balancing hoppy kickback. Caramel, plum pudding and liquorice in the aftertaste. Full body and nicely carbonated (i.e. full without being heavy). An amazing beer.

3.7
piwnanuta (224) - Warsaw, POLAND - OCT 17, 2017
Ciemne owoce, akcenty winne, słody, słodkie. Do tego rodzynki, troszkę czekolady, czarna porzeczka i lekka goryczka. Przyjemne.

3.4
suurjuust (3767) - ESTONIA - OCT 16, 2017
330ml bottle. Brown beer, small light beige head. Nose is slightly plummy, licorice notes, roast and candi sugar/caramel, hops. Flavor is hoppier than expected, roast and malt, savory notes, ashy dryness in the finish. Lingering roasty acidity and fruitiness. Not bad at all.

3.3
bewyder (543) - FRANCE - OCT 16, 2017
