Saison de Dottignies is a high-fermenting saison with a relatively low alcohol content which makes for a well-balanced beer.

Taste: Full of taste, but very drinkable. Heavily-hopped and thirst-quenching - typical of saison-styled beers.

Hops: Challenger, Brewers Gold, Hallertau Mittelfrh, Styrian Golding

Bottle. Sensoric. Orange, medium hazy with medium, off-white head. Very good head retention and lacing. Aroma is medium fruity and yeasty with lightly citrus (orange) and spicy (pepper) character. Also coriander and barnyard. Moderate malty backbone with some hay and grainy notes. Semi-sweet to sweet flavor, partly bitter (orange peel-like), finish is dry and yeasty. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Nice and funky with lightly spicy character.

Bottled, 330ml from Favourite Beers, Cheltenham, Gloucs. Hazy gold with white head. I have had this one for a while but it still tasted really quite fresh. There are grassy, hay like notes, oily hop notes, some bitterness, some floral notes. Slightly resinous later on. Decent.

Top.
