COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison de Dottignies is a high-fermenting saison with a relatively low alcohol content which makes for a well-balanced beer.

Taste: Full of taste, but very drinkable. Heavily-hopped and thirst-quenching - typical of saison-styled beers.

Hops: Challenger, Brewers Gold, Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Styrian Golding

On draft at ZBF. Friendly green-hoppy nose with lemony notes and a light spicy touch. Classic old gold color, nice and bright. Straightforwardly bitter, fresh and dry. Lingering, dry, grassy-bitter aftertaste, fine and not resinous. Refreshing, seriously hoppy saison. Seems lighter and brighter than the XX Bitter. Some damned fool is bound to try and call this a Belgian IPA.

Tap. Sweet-sour orange and hay aroma. Hazy yellow color with large head. Sweet apple juice malt flavor with a moderate bitter finish. Excellent.

JorisPPattyn (10072) - BELGIUM - MAR 7, 2010
Draught Very good, dense & fine yellow head leaving textbook lace yellow-orange beer. Nice hoppy aroma, EU hops, muc, greenery or vegetables, slighlty spicey. Quite bitter, hopbitter, dry spices as well as raw vegetables retronasal. Faint background sweetness with vanilla. Spritzy, light to medium bodied. Bit sharp-greeny, but pleasing. I do miss my traditional ironoxide, however. A bit.
