XX-bitter is our most bitter, high-fermenting beer. Despite its low alcohol content, it produces a very rich, long lasting, full flavour.

Taste: Very bitter but still balanced. Long-lasting, distinct hop taste.
Hops: Brewers Gold & Hallertau Mittelfrüh. 16°. 10 EBC. 60-65 IBU.

Kosmokrator's rating

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 15/20
Kosmokrator (849) - - NOV 9, 2012

Bottle at Smokies Apparently I've tried almost everything they have here. Time to switch to Belgium. This beauty pours clear gold. Expected. And is quite bitter. Really unexpected! Like this is probably one of first belgians I had and tastes bitter. The yeasty part is in the house, but this show is indeed ruled by bitterness. Eyes opening.

Backlog. Zapach banan. Smak zioła, lekki finisz, ale niestety lekki metal to wszystko psuje.

Lekker bitter!

deepdrinker (369) - Leeds, ENGLAND - DEC 11, 2017

rotaman14 (785) - Wiesbaden, GERMANY - NOV 28, 2017
Appearance: hazy yellow body, white head. Aroma: grassy pilsner notes (from the Hallertau hop, I presume?) mixed with fruit-cake notes that are oh so typical for Belgian yeast. Aroma: bitter upfront, then yeasty and fruity, then yeasty, while the aftertaste is bitter. Overall: okay.
