Bottle @ benzai called grofgeschut. Clear amber to copper colour with a medoum sized greyish off-white head. Smells herbs, spices, yeast, meh. Tastes awefully sweet, herbs, english blend Pickwick tea, sugary. Thin to medium body, medium carbo. Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 12, 2012
Small gusher, leaves a medium but lively creamy head which changes quick into a very big but airy but vast lacing on top of a hazy amber colored beer.
Smell is vinous: barleys, cream, alcohol, fruit like prunes, berries, cherries and alcohol drenched peach, some spices, barley malts, butter/butterscotch and some hints of caramel.
Taste caramel, cream, honey, cookies, prunes, barleys, malts, bitters, toasted barley malts, (autumnal) herbs and leaves, some hops, syrup, grainy and some creamy yeasty raisin/resin.
Aftertaste has a strange malty (herbal) bitterness with some alcohol, grains, barleys, grass and toast ib a creamy jacket.
Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium to fuller body and a creamy texture.
Wow, another surprise of Brouwerij de Roos. It’s not a King Henry, but still quite tasty. Nice.
