Bottle @ home as De Roos Meibock 6,6%. --Even though it says Meibock I don’t think it’s a different beer so that’s why I have rated it under this one. Also the label looks like they just put this one on when it’s spring and "a regular bock-label" when it’s fall.-- Anyway. Hazy amber color, medium to full sized off-white head that diminishes after a short while. Smell and taste malts, perhaps a hint of caramel, slightly butter, yeast and leaves. It’s a hard to describe flavor, yet a very common one in mediocre beers without major flaws. Guess that says it all doesn’t it.. Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Medium sized creamy beige foamy head on top of a hazy deep dark red colored beer.
Aromas of some toast, marzipan, oily malts, some rye and hay.
Flavour is a bit of watery but has stuff going on like malts, some prunes, some dust, cardboard, toast, light bitter, a very light grape tarty tone but bitters and herbs are stronger..
Aftertaste is toasty, pruney with a paper metallic tint, some herbs, dried leaves and malts.
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a light creamy texture. skortila (5820) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - FEB 16, 2010
Bottled. Aroma has caramel malts, little roast, some yeast. Hazy, brown coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is sweet, slightly bitter, some hops, caramel malts, some yeast and fruitiness. Medium bodied beer. Nice. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - NOV 16, 2006
Bottled. Aroma of nice hops with hints of raisin and chocolat. Clear, brown color, small beige head, fair lace. Light sweet, light bitter, raisin, chocolat, hint of vanilla. Very sparkling. Not bad at all but a bit amateuristic. bierkoning (13299) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - NOV 8, 2006
Bottle. Vinous, dusty, malty aroma with a touch of roasted malt. malty, roasty, vinous flavor with rosebuds, raisin and porto. Thin to medium bodied. Surprisingly good, though not perfect.

Amber colour, average but diminishing white head. Malty aroma, some grains, light roasted and nutty hints. light yeast as well, a little musty. Medium body, rather flat, little astringent. Finish is light bitter, and sharp. Not really convincing.
