A pretty unique & different style of Belgian! Pour is a hazy rustic orange w/ a thin white head w/out much lacing. The aroma is nearly sour & that follows through in the taste. There’s not a whole lot else going on here & I would expect more complexity from the style. Different but I don’t think it really works!

Een lekker biertje met een goede smaak aan. Dit is een bier dat ik zeker nog ga drinken

ForlornHope (530) - Hampshire, ENGLAND - JUL 24, 2014
Pours with a small white head. Aroma is malty with little hop. Appearance - an orange-amber colour. Initial taste is sweet which rapidly changes to a medium but persistent bitterness. Medium-bodied with the low carbonation one would expect of a Belgian speciaal. Long dry, bitter finish. Overall, a fine, drinkable beer. The malty goodness gives way to a long, balanced and bitter finish.

Tap at the Bonte Koe, Leiden. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma yeast light malt. The flavour is light bitter, with a dry malt, light fruit hop palate. Light bodied with average carbonation.

Drawn in by the different looking label. Sort of 70’s looking. Sweet and malty witha middle of thenroad Belgian yeast flavour. A bit dull, but otherwise fine.

330 ml bottle. BBE J/15. From belgianbeerfactory.com.
Hazy brown colour with a small off-white head. Yeast, mild berriness, sweetish malt and mild bitterness in the aroma. The flavour is yeast, mild bitterness, malt and some earthy notes. Yeasty and boring Belgian ale.

Erzengel (8852) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JAN 24, 2014
orange in the glass, sweet and grainy in the nose. The beer starts way to sweet and slightly clove-yeasty. The "typical" Belgian-Ale characteristics are there, but lie under a hard to describe layer of malt and muff. Unround. The aftertaste is sweet. malty, yeasty with clove elements, bitter and highly carbonated.
--> not my beer! Way too undefined for me. --> 7/10/7/7

GSAP (752) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 8, 2014
Hooi, kaas, vochtig en wat zoetigs in aroma, redelijk complex. Smaak is pils plus, wat zoeter in de mond en wat bitterder in nasmaak. Plezant voor terras, niet verassend.

ABUSEDGOAT (2768) - California, USA - JAN 6, 2014
Hazy golden color, moderate head, good lace/retention. Aroma is light with notes of sugar, yeast, light spice, grass, bread. Medium to light body, quite drinkable but kinda bland.
