COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Little Owl", a blond beer for quiet tasting created in collaboration with the Regionaal Landschap Vlaamse Ardennen (Flemish Ardennes Regional Landscape conservation board) and the Little Owl Project Leader to support the Little Owl project. To emphasise our regional identity and the links to this little creature, it includes carefully selected herbs and spices from the Flemish Ardennes. These give the beer a unique, full bodied aroma and taste and one will soon make you want more.

Ingredients: barley malt, maize, hops, yeast, woodruff, angelica, sloe.

TBone (17524) - Pori, FINLAND - JUN 27, 2012
Bottled 330ml (BZ, BB 08/2013)
Slightly hazy orange-golden color, small white head. Sweet jammy apricot aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish apricot-mango fruityness, yeast, some white pepper in the finish. Not so different than De Ryck Arend Tripel. Suprisingly not very spicey or herbal.

ganache (5893) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 25, 2012
Bottle by A13, intrigued by the ingredients listing. Nose is sweet with typical Belgian yeast with sweet floral notes. Clear golden body with moderate carbonation and a rocky off-white head. Taste is sweet at first but dries out, a little booze showing and warming, pancake syrup residual follows the very woody mid-body that is heavy on the woodruff and sticky-bitter herbal spirit (that’s the angelica), definitely gives the impression of a shot each of hazelnut and Waldmeister liqueur dropped into a blonde ale. Honey and orange peel are secondary with a faint dusting of hops at the end of the thick, fullish body. An interesting idea and an unusual sipper, guys are to be commended.

thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 1, 2012
From bottle at Oud Arsenaal. Deep golden colour with a dense offwhite head. Fruity and yeasty aroma, hints of oranges. Dry, fruity with a mild bitter punch. As only Belgians can do it, elegant.
