"Little Owl", a blond beer for quiet tasting created in collaboration with the Regionaal Landschap Vlaamse Ardennen (Flemish Ardennes Regional Landscape conservation board) and the Little Owl Project Leader to support the Little Owl project. To emphasise our regional identity and the links to this little creature, it includes carefully selected herbs and spices from the Flemish Ardennes. These give the beer a unique, full bodied aroma and taste and one will soon make you want more.

Ingredients: barley malt, maize, hops, yeast, woodruff, angelica, sloe.

from Schoentjes - hazy blond beer with a little white foam left; strong yeasty and bready aroma with notes of mineral; quite full-bodied, tart bitter herbal with some salty notes; honeyish and bready finish with gentle spicy notes - the excessive yeasty flavors prevent it to be really good

It seems that the sweet woodruff is the thing giving a drug (for cold) taste to the beer. Other than that, nothing much to say, it’s a good beer but not the one you desperately want to have when looking for the genre.

Regular blond aroma. First in the mouth perfume of elderly women.gentle carbonation on the tongue. Not organic even though they brand it like

Arôme qui fait penser à une blanche. Goût qui rappelle le médicament. Amertume en arrière goût. Bière quelconque.

Appelsap van kleur met een witte luchtige schuimkraag. Smaak zoet en ijzer smaak van appelsap. Net even te zoet.

APPEARANCE: clear blond beer, huge to almost gushing head! NOSE: caramel, sweet, grains. TASTE: caramel, sweet, grains, another tripel/blond in Belgium... Nothing new

The aroma is flowery, hoppy and rich, a good start. The taste has something heatening on the tongue and also the flowers from the aroma are coming back in the taste with a little touch of vanilla. A nice, fun beer. I’d recommand it by fish-dishes.

Een kruidig ruikende en smakende tripel. Ook hop is op de achtergrond aanwezig.

Bottle. Normally I wouldn't recommend a below 3.0 beer. But this is nice. It's not complicated, a good blonde ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has a golden/blonde color and a rich large white head with a lot of bubbles. The aroma is malty with also tones of herbs, some hops, yeast and a little citrus. The taste is light sweet from the fruits to change into a malty bitterness with tones of spices and hops. The finish is full and a little bitter. Nothing quiet special this beer, which I will soon forget.
