Blonde session beer since 2009, apparently to support the conservation of the little owl, a species I have rarely encountered but I can only support this. This beer has an off-white, creamy head and misty golden blonde colour; aroma of bread, apple, vanilla, cardboard, gooseberry; soft fruity, bit tart onset, refreshing, smooth, straightforward but balanced and flawless with mild hop bitterishness in the finish. 330 ml bottle.
Appearance: Clear body, deep orange, with a two fingers snow white head, snow white. Leaving lacing left around the glass.
Aroma: malts, peaches, sugar, quite faint.
Taste: Starts with sweet malts, some fruit, followed by a quite unique herbal and spicey taste which has some earthy notes.
Medium thin body, above average carbonation.
The herbal and spicey taste does give it a own taste. markoijelena (3121) - Belgrade / Amsterdam, SERBIA - SEP 14, 2014

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2016 33cl bottle, Delhaize Wondelgem, bb06/2016. Ponderous brown treebark pour. Indistinct marshy nose, with fumes of cooked herbs and jenever. Taste delivers a strange herbal composition as well, reminiscent of autumn twigs, wayside herbs after rain, moss, glanced over by a silky belgian yeast profile. Maize? Did not get the "blackthorn"/sloe at all, a taste that works well in jenever and gin. Odd, ponderous brew, lacking some elegance, but at least with an apt enough name. // Rerate 33cl bottle bbJUL2016 from cellar stach. Still a very odd mix, this belgian ale infused with woodside herbs - resampled in light of the woodruff/Waldmeister, Germanic herb and seasoner of Berliner Weisse: indeed green herbal tea and "European treewood" aroma, soil and wild moss, nettles. Drinks like a mix between a medium strength Belgian ale and a diuretic herbal tea.

Bottled 02/08/14. A hazy blonde coloured beer with a white head. This gushed a bit on opening so the yeast got in there. That yeast is typically Belgian as is the hop profile. Quite big bodied from the malts too. Quite heavy and tastes a bit stronger than it is. Fairly good. mjik83 (1575) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - AUG 18, 2014

Buona Belgian Ale, non troppo pesante e poco luppolata. Peccato che resta troppo dolce in bocca.
