COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Little Owl", a blond beer for quiet tasting created in collaboration with the Regionaal Landschap Vlaamse Ardennen (Flemish Ardennes Regional Landscape conservation board) and the Little Owl Project Leader to support the Little Owl project. To emphasise our regional identity and the links to this little creature, it includes carefully selected herbs and spices from the Flemish Ardennes. These give the beer a unique, full bodied aroma and taste and one will soon make you want more.

Ingredients: barley malt, maize, hops, yeast, woodruff, angelica, sloe.

33cl bottle from Speciaalbier, Leiden. Thick white head which disappears quickly. Slightly hazy golden blond pour. A nice enough beer, nothing special.

Countbeer (6409) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - MAY 4, 2014
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Big creamy foamy head on top of a hazy yellow colored beer. Aromas of malts, yeast, hops, some flowers, some fruits, pils malts and iron. Flavours of herbs, grains, bitters, yeast, light spice, iron, quite crisp, quite herbal. Aftertaste is bitter, herbal, grassy, yeasty and light malty. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture. Decent for its style, yet a bit boring for the beer. Though its a beer that goes down easy.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Golden color, a bit hazy. Forms a fluffy head with decent retention. Smell is dominated by the specific belgian yeast. Although the ABV isnt that high, you can taste the alcohol. Tends to be more on the bitter side. I cant taste all those spices from the deScription, maybe they are too subtle for me. Light to medium body, good carbonation and kind of smooth. Leaves your mouth very dry. Overall it is a decent belgian ale. I am a bit disappointed that I couldnt taste those spices.

Bottle at home, 330 ml, into a tulip. ABV 6.5% Clear body, deep orange golden in colour, with two fingers of head, snow white in colour, with average retention and lots of lacing left around the glass. Aroma of malts, peaches, sugar, quite faint. Taste is sweet and sugary, some malts, herbal and floral notes, yeast. Mildl bitterness on the aftertaste. Medium thin body, very dry on the palate. Good carbonation. Overall okay, nothing extra ordinary, but still drinks good.

33cl bottle, Geers. Pours golden, white head. Strange spiced nose, a combination of spruce, tobacco, licorice & straw. This strange combo goes down with medium carbonation and balanced tastes. Interesting at least...

Blond, goede kraag.

BOTTLE 33CL. Look: golden and cloudy with a big off-white sparkling head with poor retention. Aroma: herbs, medicine-like, sweetish fruit, honey, slight acidity. Taste: again medicine-like herbs, light sweetness, quite bitter.

An unusual belgian blonde dominated by herbs.
