The aroma is flowery, hoppy and rich, a good start. The taste has something heatening on the tongue and also the flowers from the aroma are coming back in the taste with a little touch of vanilla. A nice, fun beer. I’d recommand it by fish-dishes. tanazuka (23) - - MAY 1, 2013
Good and smooth taste with complex aroma. All things are balancing very well. Really like it.

De Ryck stayed in my mind for a long time by making a really nice beer you would always only get half a bottle of. Because the rest exploded all around you or at best turned to foam. This beer, however, is very mature. Medium alcohol, great grassy/honeyish smell, good honey taste combined with freshness. Finally a long lasting bitter palate that manifests only 15 inutes later to it’s full potential. Great stuff! Acid303 (674) - Barcelona, CATALONIA, - OCT 4, 2016
33cl bottle, served in tulip glass. Pours golden with white head. No lacing. Both aroma and taste are lemony yeast and fruits. The aftertaste is bitter along with pleasant sweet notes.Medium body, good carbonation. Very good easy going Belgian style beer. Jerre (3378) - Waregem, BELGIUM - SEP 7, 2009

From bottle at Oud Arsenaal. Deep golden colour with a dense offwhite head. Fruity and yeasty aroma, hints of oranges. Dry, fruity with a mild bitter punch. As only Belgians can do it, elegant. EddyBeer1 (1058) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JUN 13, 2013
Blonde légèrement trouble, fine pétillance, mousse persistante. Plutôt complexe : épicée, herbeuse et un rien fruitée, avec une certaine amertume. Très intéressante par sa différence ! DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2010
Brilliant gold, effervescent and holding up a fine white head. Aroma lime, sesame, farmyard and a slight natural yoghurt sharpness. Bright and lagery/kolsch-like with a fresh acidity, lemony spice and hint of floweriness suggesting (to me) cardamom. The fact it actually contains angelica, woodruff and blackthorn- 3 spices I have never seen declared on a beer bottle- and all of which are discreetly integrated makes me wonder how many other Belgians are aromatised with spices more exotic than we dare imagine. Just feels like a really well made German lager or kolsch, with an added pinch of...mystique. Pure sorcery. diabel (1713) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - NOV 27, 2011
Hazy orange/amber body. Off-white rocky head. Nice aroma of hops, yeast, spices (as in a mediterraneal spice mixture) - bit sweet, but complex and well balanced. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet flavour: warming with a gentle sweetness. Well balanced and fully bodied. Sissio (1642) - Orsenigo, ITALY - SEP 12, 2016
