650ml bottle pours an orange brown color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is tropical fruits and caramel with some hints of spruce and citrus. Taste is a citrus and spruce bitterness with a tropical fruity and caramel malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, I find that this brew is a bit too malt forward, as in a little too sweet for the style. However, the aroma is the highlight of this brew and makes it worth checking out.

Atom (2578) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 27, 2015
2015 bomber pours a hazy copper/orange with large off-white head. Beery malt aroma slight pine and spruce. Taste of sweet candied spruce, sweet caramel malt, very light hoppy pine and bitterness on the finish.

Gerbeer (4048) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 13, 2015
650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber with moderate retentive head. Aromas of bread dough, sweet malts, candied fruit, and light rubber. Surprising after the the nice nose, there’s not as much flavor. Full bodied malts with some piney spruce hints. Not unpleasant but mostly just a malty beverage.

ljthiessen (1448) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 1, 2015
Bottle. Cloudy golden amber with an off-white head. Aroma is spruce and resinous notes, fairly sweet with a touch of citrus. Flavour is much the same, a decent bitterness with nice spruce. Surprisingly good!

Draft - Sweet caramel malts and light twig. Clear gold with a decent beige head. Lots of caramel and twig notes.

piscator34 (2663) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUN 21, 2015
Bottle. Gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of sweet tropical melon, dank hops, faint conifer, and pale malt. Still very tropical fruity hop on the palate as well, but the spruce shows up way more here. Heavier bodied than expected, but not caramelly or sweet. Maybe could have used a touch more bitterness. Decent, but I preferred the Half Pints spruce beer.

cards04 (2931) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUN 16, 2015
A good brew. Pours golden with lots of head. Aromas are intense and fresh and floral pine. Sweet honey malts with more fresh spruce and pine flavours. Very nice.

Orange Amber body white head nice lacing. Hoppy pine aroma but not very intense. Taste is well balanced. Decent. Beer. Bottle shared with Carissa04

3.5
Lagerboy (2239) - British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 12, 2014
Bomber. Mostly clear orange copper, big firm off-white foam slowly settles and lasts. Sweet pine citrus aroma. Leaner citrusy hop taste with some evergreen mostly masks the blandness of the lightly sweet milder biscuity pale malts, a hint of caramel and some floral herbal spicy hints. Average carbonation, light bodied, moderately hopped. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Poured from the tap. Orangey brown with off-white head. Bready malt and resinous hops. As others have mentioned, the vegetableness does come out and doesn’t quite work.
