33cL bottle from Poperinge. I thought it was a good brown but the aroma was strange (wet wool?). Not enough to take away from the flavor just strange. I tried a couple of bottes with the same outcome but I will buy some more for comparison and re-rate as required.
75 cl Bottle - BBD: 2012
Decent beer, expected a bit more. Still a frothy head.
Silky texture. I think I want to try this beer once again. chris__hartley (458) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 30, 2015
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2015 Bargain beer at Delirium, 2 euros!!! Though uber past its prime. It pours hazy ochre with brown highlights; the head is bone coloured and foamy. The aroma has notes of: toffee, rye, nutmeg, brown sugar, and molasses. The taste is medium bitter with a little sweetness; there are notes of: rye, dark bread, orange zest, and short bread. The palate is medium light bodied and has medium carbonation; there is a heavy astringency, and it has a short finish. Overall, it was way too cheap to mind the age. ’Massieve ale’ since 1997, with deep bronze colour and thick, creamy, yellowish white head; estery, sweet and malty, yeasty with spicy hints, warming alcohol in the finish, full and creamy mouthfeel, some herbal hoppiness. Well balanced and tasty. Camons (13495) - Hasselager, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2014

(2004), 33cl. Head: beige colored. Color: red brown. Aroma: wine. Taste: wine. Palate: dry, lots of CO2, lasting. Overall: example of bad ok.
Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass brownish, huge head. Malty-spicy aroma. Starts strong, modest alcoholic, not too much. Fine spicy like christmas spices. Also with a fruity touch. Well balanced finish, quite drinkable. A good one! DutchDrebus (6322) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUN 22, 2011
Nice brown colour. If you hold it towards a lightsource you can see a nice red glow coming through. Full body, pretty okay beer. Benzai (16916) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 19, 2011
Color is dark brown with a nice red glow coming through. Taste is good and firm. Full body and nice not too strong carbs. Koelschtrinker (22056) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 29, 2011
