COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Seeker #1 is the first installment of our quarterly IPA series, a 100% wet hop ale. We used fresh cut Centennial hops in the initial boil and will use fresh cut Equinox hops in the dry hop! Equinox is a newer variety that has a pronounced aroma profile with citrus, tropical fruit, floral and herbal characteristics, including lemon, lime and papaya. By using such an unholy amount of wet hops in copious late additions, we coaxed aromas of citrus, melon and resin from the green beasties. Wet hops all the way through!

Can. Big pillow off antique white head. Has a slight haze. Is golden in color. The smell is fruit, resin, pine, slight styrofoam, orange, decent but not spectacular. The taste is similar to the smell with a medium bitterness and more pine notes. I expected more and better.

A can with Erica and Patty after the 8 mile hike in Lake Houston Wilderness park. Real nice piney and citrus fresh hop aroma. Flavor almost as good, but weaker. Some malt in there. Refreshing!

Pours hazy orange with a medium white head. Smells like citrus juice and tropical fruits. Taste is fruity, juicy, citrus, and bitter. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and average mouth-carbonation, Deep Ellum Hop Seeker finishes with a lingering fruitiness.

Had this on tap; reviewed from notes: pours a golden color with off-white head. Floral notes, skunked grass, and old wood notes on the nose; not much on the palate. Not a very well done beer. Seems like they rushed it out.

On tap at World of Beer. Dark pour with an off-white head. Aroma is sappy flowers. Taste is sweet biscuits, grainy, almost chocolate, and definitely bitter.

Pours a hazy deep amber with thick beige head. Arena is very malty with a balanced amount of choppy/grapefruit citrus. Flavor is much the same with a sweet malty backbone. Medium-heavy mouth feel with medium carbonation. Overall, I dig it!

Draft flight at FS FW. Ruby-bronze pour with a thin brown head. Light, sweet, citrus hop aroma. Fairly light flavor with sweet hops and only light bitterness. Name was appropriate: left me looking for the hops. Not bad, just light flavors.

A lightly sweet and hoppy nose with a caramel hop flavor. Brownish orange color. Goes down smooth without a lingering after taste

On tap at Hay Merchant. I ordered this one thinking it was an IPA, which explains my slight dismay at all the malt and toned down hops. Still, even as a strong ale, this one is bland and watery by some standards. This one doesnt do much for me. Still, at least its brewed in Texas. Keep em coming, folks.
