Our year round ode to the Pacific Northwest hop. At DEBC, we like hops, but we like American hops most of all. Here we use some of our absolute favorites. However, they might not be used like you may expect, by using varieties with high alpha acid contents (which means more potential for bitterness) and using them in ways to emphasize the flavor and aroma we can render a rather bitter ale with over the top tropical fruit, citrus, pine, floral, and more hop derived aroma and flavor. Style: American-style India Pale Ale Hops: Citra, Amarillo, Chinook, Palisade, and Summit Malts: Pale Ale, Vienna, Honey, and White Wheat Yeast: English Ale

Pours a dark urine with a lively head, and I mean that in a good way. I would paint my walls this color. The aroma is so aromatic, I think my wife would actually be fine with me smelling "like a brewery." Very citrus/grapefruit taste but I hate saying that because I hate grapefruitwhich you can blame on the late 70s/early 80s grapefruit diet fad. Anyway, I say it in a GOOD waysmells and tastes super fresh. I really like this, and disappointed that I missed the release of their IIPA, Dream Crusher, by 2 days. I did get a coozie at least! Anyway, this is a good beer. I am adding it to my list of "must get" when in the neighboring state of Texas (along with St. Arnold).

Can sample at a tasting at Toms place. Thanks Ori S. Clear amber with a white film. Citrus, a little malt and some melon aroma, bitter, light melon and citrus taste - rather crisp. Fizzy, medium body, long, mild hoppy and bitter finish.

I had a few of these over the course of a 4 day visit. Nice tropical notes and slight citrus and pine. Easy drinking

On tap at Texas Land & Cattle Steak House, Frisco, TX. Color is a deep amber with a bit of orange and a slight haze. Carbonation is good with a thick off white head. Aroma is fresh and hoppy giving notes on pineapple and citrus. Flavor comes out of a good malt base with the same notes you get in the aroma and a fair bitterness. After taste is more citrus and a lingering bitterness. Overall its a well done IPA but nothing special.

Draft at DFW airport. Soft lingering foam, rich amber and gold body. A nice surprise. Amber rich malt backbone, great piney sharp hop flavors. A bit of rubbing alcohol. Bright carbonation cuts the richer malts. Nice caramel sweetness. Solid.

12oz can from bananabi11 that he got via trade. Thanks! Pine. Sticky. Sweet malts. Much more malt focused than hoped, disappointingly. 13.3

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2016 Can at the Sheraton Hotel in Dallas. Pours a deep amber body with thin white lacing. Nose is peach, sugar and sweet malt. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with notes of sweet malt, sugar and some vague stone fruit character. A bit too sweet overall - really no idea on the freshness of this, could potentially be decent if this was old as the malt sweetness was pretty dominate.

4 oz. pour, on tap at The Ginger Man in Austin, Texas. Consumed on 11-6-16. Tan to light amber. Beige head. Good lacing. Clear liquid. I dont love the color, but I do like the lacing. Orange Fruity Pebbles aroma. Orange and mint toothpaste scents. Perhaps my least favorite common IPA scents. Artificial orange and lemon but also some more authentic citrus as well as pine in the flavor. Mint and eucalyptus. Flavor not great but better than aroma. Light to medium body. Soft in the palate. A little too soft and perhaps undercarbonated. Below average IPA.
