Got it in the CAN. Black brew with small head that held on for a little while. Aroma is chocolate malts and a soda. Taste is sweet, Pepsi, and chocolate. Thin body, not enough carbonation to make it a soda, and while drinkable it was just overall not all that enjoyable. commonmac (1381) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 9, 2017
On tap at the source with blonderedhead during Dallas adventure. Large snifter style glass. Black in color with essentially no head. Nose is heavy on roasted malts and espresso notes. Taste loses a little bit of the potency brought to mind by the aroma. Sweetness comes until play but is definitely understated. There are roasted coffee qualities and a pleasant bite. Less creamy than others in the style. Somehow feels bright if that's possible from a sweet stout. Slight chocolate element. Coming away impressed by this one. The stories of the local legend are true. mkel07 (6574) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUL 19, 2017

What a delicious dessert beer to end a night with. It's a stout by any other name but tastes like a quality coffee stout with a nice punch

Very well done sweet stout. Light but flavors along with sweetness and dark grain. Really enjoyable. Thin fading head. What a milk stout should be.

Pours very dark from the can. Dark chocolate flavor with coffee overtones. An excellent compliment to pasta dinner.

A sweet stout indeed. Creamy head. Coffee and cocoa aroma and taste with a hint of char keeping it real. rougeau13 (3300) - Richmond, Texas, USA - JAN 28, 2017
Can. Very dark. Nearly black. Big rocky beige head with a fair amount of lacing. Aroma of caramel, chocolate ice cream and roast. Tastes roasty and just a bit sweet. Medium bodied and creamy. jhamp9 (2025) - Corinth, Texas, USA - DEC 20, 2016
Near black pour with a creamy khaki head. Aroma is chocolate syrup and roasty. Taste is dark chocolate, roast, coffee, and some sweet chocolate. Medium body. Nice beer. BeerRenter76 (1061) - Texas, USA - DEC 18, 2016
Sweet almost smoky aroma with hints of char. Flavor is about the same, smoky char, with sweet lactose. Nice long burnt finish, tasty.
